Meet The Trainers At Body Confidence Australia

Meet Sammy, she is the Owner and Head Trainer at Body Confidence. She was born in the UK where she qualified as a Personal Trainer 5 years ago. She then moved to Australia  in 2017 and worked for a few gyms and other Personal Trainers before starting up her own business in Queens Park and then moving her business to a studio space in July 2019. 

Sammy's passionate about helping other people, both in fitness and in general every day life. Her aim is to build a community where by every individual feels comfortable and supported to allow you to be happy and strive for success. 

Sammy is a cardio bunny, she loves to run having completed her first marathon in 2019 and she loves HIIT style training. She does also have a calmer side and since becoming a Pilates instructor in 2017 she takes the time to slow the pace down and engage mind to muscle. 

Sammy has recently been on maternity leave following the birth of her daughter Lilly, and is now back in the studio part time teaching a few classes and one on one sessions and is also running live classes from home 3 days a week.

​Meet Brendan, he likes loud shorts even in the winter and good beers over a long chat, but most of all, his passion is kettlebells and strength training. 
Brendan started his fitness passion as a rugby player and later as a coach for the PNG “Puk Puks” and the USQ Saints, and today he is a level 2 Strong First instructor. 

Brendan teaches our Body Strong classes 3 mornings a week on Monday's, Wednesday's & Friday's at 5:30 am. These classes are unique to any other classes, perfecting your techniques, building your strength and working on your endurance using kettlebells, barbells, slosh pipes, tyres, sleds & sandbags! The results Brendan has had from the clients attending these classes are phenomenal.

Meet Tom, at only 20 years old, he is the youngest member of our team.
Tom is a local Toowoomba boy, having graduated from Toowoomba Grammer School in 2018. He has had a passion for fitness from a young age, specifically long-distance running, weight training and sports such as AFL and cricket.
He became a Certificate III and IV qualified personal trainer in 2018 and has worked at a Brisbane-based company as a PT and as an independent trainer, the latter of which he continues today.
Tom is also a budding film maker and is currently on a gap year from studying Film & TV at QUT. In his spare time, he finds interest in topics such as astronomy, paleo-anthropology and philosophy.
Along side his personal training Tom is also a videographer  at Colliers Toowoomba.
He is an avid learner and loves working with others.

Monday - 3-4:30pm
Tuesday - 7-8:30am & 3:30-4:15pm
Wednesday - 7:30-8:30am & 3-3:45pm
Thursday - All Day

Meet Michelle, she has been a gym junkie for around 30 years, and a trainer for 14 years.
She's trained in 5 Les Mills programs, and is qualified in yoga, boxing and even Zumba 😊 
Michelle is passionate about helping people with their health and fitness goals. 
You wouldn't believe it from looking at her however Michelle is a mum to 4 awesome kids, Moo Moo of 5 grand-kids and partner to a great guy, she is grateful to see them all regularly and treasure's her family time.
Michelle love's weekends - and is usually renovating, socializing, training or just hanging out. 
Fitness has always been a huge part of her life and now yoga has become just as important. The benefits, both physically and mentally have helped her deal with everything life has thrown her way in recent years. 
She likes to live by the motto ~

Meet Amy, 
Amy is a mum to 3 gorgeous, polite and very energetic boys! So, she has her hands full already however last year through all the chaos Amy gained her qualification as a Group Fitness instructor and we snapped her up straight away!
Amy's background is in education. She has taught in primary classrooms in Goondiwindi, Toowoomba, Dalby and Rockhampton before starting her family. She majored in Health and Physical Education as she believes encouraging young people to be active and involved in sports promotes a lifelong love of physical activity. Amy is now completing her Personal Training certificate as adult fitness training can be more flexible around her growing family. 
She is currently running the mum's classes in Highfields and will do the occasional class in Toowoomba.

Meet Ronnie, her mum started taking her along to yoga as a teenager in an attempt to help deal with stress symptoms like insomnia and chronic re flux. Through learning and practicing meditation, breath and mindfulness, she learnt how yoga has the power to bring peace of mind and calm even in the hardest of times.
Ronnie strongly believes yoga and its mental, physical and spiritual benefits are for everyone, regardless of age, gender, flexibility or fitness level. She received her 200 hour teacher training certification at the end of 2019 and takes a yoga class once a month at the studio, where she hopes to create a fun and laid-back atmosphere for people to relax and dedicate an hour of the day just to themselves.
​In her spare time, you’ll find Ronnie experimenting in the kitchen cooking for loved ones, out in the sun somewhere, or visiting friends and family.

​Meet Claire, she is 21 years old and is the newest member of the Body Confidence team!
Claire grew up on a cotton property where she lived for 19 years, she went to boarding school
here in Toowoomba for 6 years, with 5 being at Fairholme College. After school she went to
university in Armidale and completed 1.5 years of a bachelor of exercise and sports science
but has differed that for now. Claire has completed her pregnancy and postnatal training for
personal trainers and is currently taking group fitness classes while completing her studies of
her certificate 4 in fitness. After completion of her cert 4 she is eager to do her Pilates course.
In her spare time, she loves cooking, taking her dog, Maisie, for long walks, training at the
gym and hanging out with friends.
